Cosmo's Build-your-own Homemade Pizza

Pizza Dough: (2x 12 inch pizzas)

  • 1 package (2 1/4 teaspoons) of active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 & 1/2 cups (355 ml) warm water (40 - 45°C)
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cosmo's herb seasoning - your choice of Garlic/Chilli/Herb, Taco/Herb or BBQ/Herb
  • 3 & 3/4 cups (490 g) all-purpose flour

Cosmo’s Italian Pizza Sauce

Topping suggestions:

  • Cranberry Chicken – Chicken, Cranberry Sauce, Camembert, Cheese
  • Meat Lovers – Ham, Pepperoni, Bacon, Beef, Chorizo, BBQ Sauce, Cheese
  • Veggie Supreme – Onion, Tomato, Capsicum, Mushroom, Pineapple, Black Pepper, Cheese
  • Cheese Lovers – Mozzarella, Feta, Camembert, Mayo              
  • Seafood Lovers - Shrimp, Mussels, Calamari, Cheese

Method

      1. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water; let stand for 5 minutes.
      2. Add oil, salt and Cosmo’s herb seasoning. Stir in flour, a cup at a time, until a soft dough form.
      3. Turn onto floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 2-3 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease the top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 45 minutes.
      4. Mix 100g Cosmo’s Tomato Pizza Sauce Powder with 250ml warm water and 10ml olive oil for 400ml pizza sauce. Stir or whisk until well blended.
      5. Punch down dough; divide in half. Press each into a greased 12-in. pizza pan.
      6. Spread the tomato sauce over each crust.
      7. Place your desired toppings on the pizza evenly.
      8. Sprinkle Cosmo's herb seasoning - your choice of Garlic/Chilli/Herb, Taco/Herb or BBQ/Herb over the top of your pizza
      9. Bake at 400° for 25-30 minutes or until crust is lightly browned.
